Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial trucks and trailers.
- Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Help troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems using industry-standard tools and equipment.
- Support the lead mechanic with repairs, including brakes, engines, and electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for tracking and compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve skills and service quality.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive or truck repair preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
